About the Artwork:
Concept sketches for this piece started with Celtic dragon knots but moved towards a stylized silhouette figure as the design evolves. The final image is referenced from a stylized Chinese dragon with an elephant's trunk. The final design involved no pencil work, just markers. Finished as part of an art class in 2001.
