Dragons are not only in the past. As a matter of fact, a good deal of them are in movies today. I've found many dragon movies that deserve to be watched.

Rating System
In order for people to see what I thought of the movie right off the bat, I've decided to impliment a "rating system" for three things: story line, graphics, and characters. While I'll admit, I am not one to blast a movie, I am not someone who will easily give away the highest honor, either.

Brown The Brown Dragon is the lowest rating. This means that the graphics are bad, the characters are flat, or the plotline is dull/overused.
Red Red Dragon is the second lowest rating. The graphics need serious work, the characters are just a step above flat, or the plotline is disappointing or "taken off" from another movie.
White This little dragon is the mid-point. If a movie wins the white dragon for something, it could mean that the graphics are good, but still need a little work. Or, the characters are cool, but a bit dry, or the plotline is half-original, but still falls on "original".
Black Black dragons say that the movie has some outstanding points. The graphics might be awesome, the characters well-rounded, or the plot very original. Things like corny dialog sometimes "knock" the movie down to this level instead of the highest level.
Gold Gold is for none but the best. The graphics must be perfect (at least anatomy wise) and the characters should not only be rounded, but also be original. The story must be original and not "steal" certain ideas from other movies.

Television Shows
Here is a listing of shows that have dragons in them. For some of them, I have linked to the main website in order for you to find out when they are playing.

Unreviewed Movies
The following movies I am aware of, but I either have not seen them or have not been able, for whatever reason, watch them all the way through. They may or may not be reviewed later.

  • DragonWorld - 1994
  • Flight of Dragons - 1982
  • Dragonslayer - 1981
  • Dragon Wars
